WATKINS, Lewis Boone age 59 of Brooksville died Sat., August 28, 2004 in Brooksville. Born in Beckley, West Virginia he came here 27 years ago from Nitro, West Virginia. He was an accomplished artist, appearing in publications such as Who's Who in American Art, American Artist Renown, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. His artwork is found in the permanent collection of the National Museum in Santiago, Chile, the West Virginia Fine Arts and Cultural Center, the Vatican Museum in Italy, John Davis Fine Arts Center in West Virginia, Leslie Stephens Fine Arts Center in Alabama, Florida State Museum, in the State Capitols of Florida, West Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Kansas and Tennessee, and in numerous other private, corporate college and university collections. He undertook a series of significant sculptures, which include The Crosses of Life"" in recognition of Polish Solidarity
