Martin "Mac" Herman McCormick

He was born February 27, 1923 in East Tawas, MI and came to this area 32 years ago from Miami, Florida.  He served in the United States Army and United States Air Force during a military career that spanned 21 years and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  He retired from active service as a Lt. Colonel after flying numerous aircrafts (including the B57) and received many awards and honors.  He was a member of the VFW, MOOA (Military Officers Associations) and the Brooksville Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his wife: Martha; sons and daughter-in-law: Jon & Neva McCormick of Boise, Idaho and Martin McCormick of Rowlett, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Jan & Joe Barrera of Homosassa, Florida; stepsons and daughters-in-law: Mel & Sonia Kirchman of Jamul, California and Chip & Karen Kirchman of Clearwater, Florida; stepsister and son-in-law: Ann & Dennis Schmenger of San Diego, California; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Brooksville Wesleyan Church.
