Mary E. Coburn

February 3, 1938 - January 5, 2021

82 years of age

Born in Avon Park but the family moved back to Hernando County while she was very young. She attended Hernando County Schools, then transferred to Jefferson High School in Tampa.  She graduated in 1956.  She attended and graduated from USF Tampa. She was an executive with Cast-Crete Corp for 40 plus years. After retiring, she sold her home in Seffner and moved home to Brooksville to be closer to family, and to her church.

Mary is survived by one brother, Wayne Patterson (Kathy); two sisters, Sandra Walton and Wanda Pine;  and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Coburn; parents, Asa Patterson and Ollie Patterson; brothers, Carl and AW Patterson; sisters, Patsy Elliott and Frances Griffin.

So as she closed her eyes in death, she opened them in heaven, surrounded by loved one.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Agape Life Baptist Church (formerly Gulf Ridge Park Baptist Church), where Funeral Services begin at 2:00pm, with Pastor Lamar Herndon officiating.  Burial will follow at Lake Lindsey Cemetery.
