Patricia "Donni" Cooke Farrell

Devoted Mom and Mimi, Patricia “Donni” Cooke Farrell was a caring and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother (Mimi), cousin, and friend.  She left this world suddenly on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, at the age 82.

Donni was born March 1, 1940 in Stratford Connecticut to George and Mary Cooke.  She graduated High School in 1958 and then went on to earn her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Pennsylvania.  Donni married her high school sweetheart Leo “Peter” Farrell on September 1st, 1962 and were blessed with two children, Kristin “Kristie” and Kevin.

Donni worked as a Dental Hygienist in Philadelphia PA, Stamford CT, and Framingham MA until 1968 when she transitioned to a stay-at-home mom and raised their two children. Donni returned to work, first as a school dental hygienist and then as a full-time dental hygienist until she retired at the age of 65.

Donni was an avid reader, loved all collegiate sports, especially UCONN women’s and men’s basketball, and was a diehard Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan. Throughout the years she enjoyed needlepoint, bridge, gardening, making floral arrangements, tennis, golf, bocce, rummikub, mah-jongg, dominoes, spending time with family/cousins and HS/Timber Pines friends, and most of all spending time with her five grandchildren.

Donni is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Peter; her children, Kristin Farrell-Tantorski & Kevin Peter Farrell; five grandchildren, Emma, Grace, Peter, Ella, and Teddy; and daughter-in-law, Ellen Farrell.  She is preceded in death by her parents, George & Mary Cooke.

Donni will especially be remembered for her beautiful smile, and her dynamic spirit

that left an impression on all that knew her.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 16th, 2022 at 10:30am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1109 Main Street, Branford CT. Flowers may be offered at W.S. Clancy Funeral Home at 244 N. Main Street, Branford CT 06405.
