Reverend Pedro Garcia

Born October 19, 1930 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Isidro and Felicita (Ojeda) Garcia.  He came to Spring Hill 22 years ago from Sebring, Florida.  He was a graduate of the Spanish Eastern District Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God in Bronx, New York and in service of the Lord an ordained minister with the Assembly of God Church.  He was an Associate Pastor of John 3:16 in Bronx, New York, Senior Pastor for five years of Spanish Assembly of God in Sebring, Florida, and Senior Pastor of the Spanish Congregation of Grace Outreach Church in Brooksville, Florida.  He enjoyed baseball, boxing, and sports.  Reverend Garcia was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and a faithful servant to the Lord who dedicated his life to the church and to his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Maria Diaz Garcia; daughters and sons-in-law, Zenadi & Reverend Rafael Lozada of Bronx, New York, Nellie & Reverend David Garcia, Eileen Garcia, and Nancy & Reverend Robert Brosher, all of Spring Hill, Florida; sisters, Sylvia L. Garcia of Puerto Rico, Antonia Garcia and Esther Garcia, both of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00-1:00pm, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services begin at 1:00pm, with Reverend Robert Brosher officiating.  Burial will take place at Brooksville Cemetery.
