To the family of Dick Edwards,   I went to school with your dad and he was one of the kindest, funniest person I knew...We lost touch over the years but when we reconnected on Facebook it was like way back when...I will miss his daily emails and sense of humor and all of his forwards....He is at peace and with all of his loved ones in heaven....Will miss you my friend

Dear Debbie, Beth, Matt, Carissa, Sonny, Fred, Tom, Patty, and John - How lucky we all were to have had Dick in our lives - he was a ray of sunshine when I opened my email every day, and a voice of caring, affection and friendship on the phone any time of day or night we needed him.  We shared so many memories - I remembered his Grandma Walker, and his Dad and Mom and all his middle school pranks and high school days, just he remembered so many stories about my grandparents, my parents, and our beloved Lyn.  We shared the past, and the present on a daily basis, and my life will be much emptier without him. The hallmarks of our friendship were laughter, openness, honesty, shared memories and mutual support.  If either of us felt we were having "water poured into our ears" and being told it was raining, we'd call each other for the weather report!  And so it was that the last time I spoke with him, I told him that I loved him, and that if he was thinking about going anywhere that I couldn't go right now, he should save me a seat, since I would be along sooner or later.  I will miss him terribly, and am so glad that I could call him my friend.    Joanne

To the family of Dick Edwards,I lost a friend this week, a good man went to his rest this week. Most people believe our lives are judged by what we leave behind, attributes that people remember when they add up the sum of a life on earth. He was a son, a brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his famiy. Always helped out, always said yes, always shared, and always with a smile. I lost a good friend this week. To Dicks family,Dick and I worked togeather in the fifth Pct. After several years we got togeather on facebook. Right before Christmas I was going in to the hospital for an operation on my back. Dick asked me for my phone number and we talked for over an hour he told me about his back operation and told me how he was doing and we said we would get togeather after the new year. Im so grateful that we got to talk about old times. Dick was a great Guy and I know you will miss him as will all his brother police officers will. RIP Dick
