SMITH, Robert Andersen, “Bob,” age 78, of Brooksville, FL died Thursday, November 24, 2016. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and came to the area 55 years ago from Norfolk, VA. Mr. Smith was owner/operator for 55 years of Smith Chemical Sales and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was charter member of the Brooksville Golf and Country Club, a member of Southern Hills Golf and Country Club, past President of the Jaycees and past board member of the Performing Arts Guild.  He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law: Robert, Jr., and Michelle Smith of St. Petersburg, FL; Dan Smith of Cedar Key, FL; David Smith of Brooksville, FL; daughters and son-in-law: Debe Stevenson and Dawn and Otis Hamilton, all of Brooksville, FL; brothers: Duke Smith of Indianapolis, IN; General Al Smith of Hemmingway, SC; Paul Mastracco of Amelia, VA; sisters: Dianne D’Auria of Virginia Beach, VA; Paulette Mastracco of Sedona, AZ; companion of 28 years: Kathy Vidal of Brooksville, FL; former wife and lifelong friend: Faye Arpke of Inverness, FL; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or HPH Hospice.
