BATTEN, Ronald E. "Ron" age 75 of Brooksville, Florida passed away March 26, 2016 at Tampa General Hospital. He was born September 21, 1940, in Brooksville, where he resided most of his life. He worked as a Police Officer for the City of Brooksville and later retired from Hernando County as a heavy equipment operator. Ron is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Ron and Chika Batten of Brooksville; sister: Loretta Tigue-Hoglund of Homosassa; grandchildren: Laura of Tampa and Joshua of Brooksville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton & Margaret Batten and brothers, Cliff and Wayne Batten. A celebration of Ron’s life will be 1 – 4pm, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Bud McKethan Park, 800 John Gary Grubbs Blvd., Brooksville.
