Ronald Albert Burke, Sr.

BURKE, Sr., Ronald Albert, age 67 of Brooksville passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, FL. Born in Jacksonville, FL he came to this area in 1968 from Williston, FL. He worked as a Forest Ranger for the Florida Division of Forestry for 37 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. He was predeceased by his parents: J. Arthur & Evelyn Fox Burke and stepsister: Babs Dixson. Ronald is survived by his wife of 44 years: Elizabeth; son & daughter-in-law: Ronald, Jr. & Tracy Burke of Spring Hill; daughter & son-in-law: Teressa & Jon Vieira of Biloxi, MS; sister, Karen Hexton of Jackson, MS and brothers: Jay Arthur Burke of Bonita Springs, FL, Brent Burke of Winter Park, FL and Kevin Burke of Williston, FL; 5 grandchildren, numerous other family and friends. Visitation for friends will be from 2-4pm Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 4pm. The burial will be at a future date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Diabetic or Kidney Association.
