Ruth Day

DAY, Ruth, age 95 of Spring Hill, Florida, died Saturday, April 1, 2017.  Born in Mineola, New York, she came here 40 years ago from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.  She retired as Church Secretary for First United Methodist Church of Brooksville, Florida and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Day.  Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law:  Robert & Vicky Day of Spencer, Ohio and James & Laura Day of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter:  Nancy Schumacher of San Tan Valley, Arizona; 6 grandchildren.  Visitation for friends will be 3 – 5pm, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 5:00pm, with Pastor Anthony Caruana officiating.  Inurnment, next to her husband, at the Florida National Cemetery, will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HPH Hospice.
