I'm so sorry and sad to hear about you losing your husband Mrs. Henegar. He loved you dearly and told his classes on a regular basis how blessed he was that you married him. You both had a wonderfully positive influence in my brother Kevin's and my life. You both show compassion and kindness from your heart, not for show.  Your husband will be truly missed. God speed Mr. Henegar.

So sorry for your loss, Mr. Henegar was my favorite teacher going thru high school, I always enjoyed his class! Both Mr. And Mrs. Henegar were great teachers .

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Henegar. My thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Henegar and his family. In my Junior Year (1973-74), I took a Forensics class (Debate) that he taught. I remember him telling us the first day how important this course was going for the rest of our lives by learning how to prepare arguments, positions, and talking points, and strategies to debate. He was right. I still maintain those lessons he taught us over 40 years ago. God bless, Pat Moore

My condolences to Mr. Henegar's family.  He was more than a teacher and football coach, he was a great role model setting an example of how to be a good man. He was caring and funny but he could be tough as nails if needed.  He had a lasting impact on my life.

Sending my condolences to the passing of Mr. Henegar and his family.  He was a special kind of teacher to me.  Always smiling but yet stern in a way that he commanded his students to listen and learn.  He had a big heart that went with his big smile!

Prayers for your family time.You are one of the best damn teachers in the entire history of New Haven.  I still catch myself singing the prepositional phrase song. You instilled a lot of things we still use today in our children.  Thank you Mr Henagar for always having a caring ear and treating us like your own kids truly going to be missed.

My condolences to the entire Henegar family.   Mr. Henegar had a great way away with his students and his wit and sense of humour has never been forgotten.  He helped make New Haven a better place.

He was one on the most liked and respected teachers at our high school. He always had a smile and encouraging words for the students. A good man.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Henegar. He was witty, motivational, caring, and a true teacher in the best sense of the word.  He loved his family so deeply, and his students were like a second family to him. His military stance combined with his kind heart made for a unique individual with many talents and a strict sense of honor. He will truly be missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Henegar always made me laugh. Both Henegars entered my life in Middle school, that was in the early 1970's. Their patience and kindness left an imprint on my heart. My deepest condolences to your entire family.  Mr. Henegar always seemed to be around with a firm handshake and quiet words of wisdom and encouragement when they were needed most.  He set a great example showing sometimes troubled kids the right direction to become good men.

I'd just like to thank Mr. Henegar for the wonderful teaching he did in New Haven. He was a very nice person, who made everyone feel confident in their abilities. I was blessed by God to have both Mr. and Mrs. Henegar as teachers in the New Haven School system and for that I am truly grateful. I'm so incredibly heartbroken to hear of the passing of Mr. Henegar. He was an incredible teacher that wouldn't put up the craziness that some students would dish out. He was funny, and caring. Anytime I saw him in the hallway, he would stop me and ask me how I was. And I'll always remember when he was either subbing for a teacher or visiting Mrs Henegar and I was sitting quietly at my desk, he would come over to my desk and sneak me one of his hard candies that he always had hidden in his pants pockets. Mr. Henegar was an amazing person and he will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to Mrs Henegar, and their kids, family and friends. Sending my love to you all. ♡
