
MILAM, Thomas, (Tommy), age 68 of Brooksville, Florida died April 30, 2008 at his home. He was born February 22, 1940 in Mullins, WVA and came to the area 25 years ago from WVA. He graduated from Oceana High School, Wyoming County, WVA and Wyoming County Vocational Technical School and received certificates in welding and electric. He attended West Virginia and Mountain State Universities where he studied industrial technology and vocational education. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do, an avid fisherman who prided himself in making fishing flies. Survivors include his wife: Vickie; sons: James & Dennis, all of Brooksville, Florida; Duane of Washington, D.C.; daughters: Debra Whanger of Charleston, WVA; Dedra Walker of Cusseta, GA; Crystal Wooten of Chapmanville, WVA; sisters, Peggy Garrison of Brooksville, Florida; Freda Hazelton of New Richmond, WVA; 8 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30am Fri., May 9, 2008 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
