Born July 27, 1942 in Brooksville, Florida and a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Edwin & Corrinne Young. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired from Florida Crushed Stone Co. He was Methodist by faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gene Young; his son, Ronald G. Young of Brooksville, Florida; brothers, Walter Donald Young and Dale Young, both of Brooksville, Florida; sisters, Wanda F. Gause of Lake City, Florida, Virginia Massey of Tampa, Florida, and Velda Small of Alabama.
