Walter John Ashley

ASHLEY, Walter John, age 77 of Brooksville, Florida, departed from this earth on Saturday, October 14, 2017.  Walter was born in Belle Glade, Florida and moved to Brooksville in 1959.  He was a Purchasing Agent and Field Material Supervisor for Metric Constructors, Inc., Overland Contracting, Inc. and Black & Veatch, Inc. and had owned three businesses.  In his younger years, Walter enjoyed building race cars and hunting in the Big Cypress Swamp with his father. Later in his years, he enjoyed airboating, fishing and being with his wife and sons.  Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. Ashley and Catherine Paff Leffingwell.  Survivors include his wife of 55 years:  Linda Blackburn Ashley; sons & daughters-in-law:  David & Angelina Ashley and Brian & Michelle Ashley all of Brooksville; sister & brother-in-law:  Irene & Robert Keim of Brooksville; grandchildren:  Catherine Ashley, Olivia Ashley, Burns Ashley, Hannah Ashley and Tyler Galvan; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  While the family appreciates your thoughts and wishes to send flowers, Walter would have preferred a donation be made to your favorite charity.
