William ""Clyde"" Daniel

DANIEL, William “Clyde”, age 86 of Brooksville, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at HPH Hospice Care Center.  He was a lifelong resident of Brooksville, born to William Linton and Ophelia Blackburn Daniel in Spring Lake.  He was a graduate of Hernando High School and served in the United States Navy from September 1945 to January 1950.  Mr. Daniel was Owner & Operator of W. Clyde Daniel Construction, he held the honor of being the longest member of Spring Lake United Methodist Church, and was a member of the National Rifle Association.  Survivors include his wife:  Doris Lee Daniel; son & daughter-in-law:  Michael & Sally Daniel of Brooksville; daughter & son-in-law:  Ann & Craig Borgialli of Brooksville; grandchildren:  Jamie Spencer and his wife, Abby, Lee Ann Bearden and B. J. Phillips and her husband, Frank; 3 great granddaughters:  Kate, Aubrey & Ren Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, J. T. & Herbert Daniel and sisters, Hazel Chapman & Mamie Louise Fagan.  Visitation for friends will be 5 – 7pm, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Spring Lake United Methodist Church with Reverend Williston Brewer officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery.
