William Greene

GREENE, William (Bill) Dennis, was born in Lewiston, Idaho on December 8, 1948. He came to Florida in 1957. He was in the graduating class of 1966 of Dixie M. Hollins High School in St. Petersburg and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. He was a resident of Brooksville for 24 years. Bill was an avid amateur early-Florida archeologist and had a passion for riding his Harley bikes and rebuilding them. He was a land surveyor for 41 years and owned and operated W.D. Greene Land Surveying,Brooksville since 1982. Bill was a member and past president of the of West Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Brooksville, Inc. He was Kiwanian of the year 1998-1999 and 2002-2003. Bill was on the Board for Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties and was very involved with helping Brooksville?s young people, sponsoring various sports teams. Bill is survived by his loving family, Peggy, her children and grandchildren, son, Stephen Ingram, mother, June Greene, sister, Janie Greene Wurzel, her children and grandchildren and a niece Verona Reed.Visitation for friends will be 3-4pm, Mon., July 10, 2006 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 4:00pm.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kiwanis Foundation, Brooksville Kiwanis Club, P.O.
