

He was born June 28, 1934 in Jackson, MS to his late parents Christine Osborne and James Fisher. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He is an Army veteran that served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from a long career as Division Vice President of United Cities Gas Company. He was named Gas Man of the year by the Southeastern Gas Association. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, a Gideon, Lay Director of the United Emmaus Community, and a deacon in his local church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Frances Fisher, his children Ivy (Danny) Chapman of Brunswick, David Fisher of Brunswick, Christie (Todd) Mathis of Lakeland, Florida, Gail (Alan) Austin of Jonesborough, Tennessee, his grandchildren Casey (Jamie) Goldstone of Brunswick, Tyler (Lachelle) Chapman of California, Myles Chapman of Atlanta, Kaleigh, Justin, and Jordan Mathis of Lakeland Florida, Kellie and Keith Austin of Jonesborough, Tennessee. Great Grandchildren Ava, Griffin, Gabe, and Amelia Grace Goldstone of Brunswick. and Ian Chapman of California. He is also survived by his identical twin brother Lamar (Ann) Fisher of Meridian Mississippi and preceded in death by his brother James Fisher.
