Audrey Evelyn Padgett

Audrey Evelyn Padgett, 98, of Darien, Ga., passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Padgett was a native of Tattnall County, Georgia, a former resident of Brunswick, and had been a resident McIntosh County for 55 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Darien.

Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her father Ross Groce Kicklighter, her mother Mamie Guidell Ray, her husband Lyman E. Padgett, son Charles Lyman Padgett, daughter Martha Greiner, son- in- law Willard Rozier, five brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include her three daughters Marline Padgett of Charlotte, N.C., Sharon Rozier of Darien, GA, Judi Roland and husband Wayne L. Roland ,Sr. of Mims, FL; two sons Richard Padgett, Sr. and wife Libby and Melvin Padgett and wife Cindy all of Darien, GA; son- in- law Alan Greiner of Augusta, GA; three sisters Theda, Juanita, and Alvagrace; 32 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints, 500 McIntosh Rd. Darien, Ga., with President Ronald Dionne officiating, with visitation one hour prior to service time 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Pigot Branch Cemetery in Long county at 3:30 p.m. Tommy Stewart, Wayne L. Roland, Jr., Richard Padgett, Jr., Jonathan Padgett, Joseph Padgett, and Phillip Bacon serving pallbearers.
