Barbara was born on August 7, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the oldest of 3 children to Maurice P. Driscoll and Catherine P. Driscoll. She married James S. Hearons on July 2, 1955, in Chicago. Her married life took her to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Norwalk and Westport, Connecticut, Toledo, Ohio, and Stuart, Florida, before moving to Saint Simons Island, GA, in 2021.
Barbara is survived by her 4 boys; James S. Hearons, Jr. (Julie), Michael Hearons, Thomas Hearons (Kathy) and Robert Hearons. She is also grandmother and great grandmother to dozens more.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Pat Driscoll, brother Jim, sister Nancy, and her husband of over 50 years, Jimmy.
A private service will be held in Palm City, Florida, on August 14, 2025, at Forest Hills Memorial Park and Palm City Chapel.
