She was born in Atlanta, GA on January 2, 1931. Barbara graduated from Glynn Academy and attended the University of Georgia. She was married to the late James McMillan, Jr. on February 14, 1951.
Barbara was proud to be a homemaker. She was a member of Christian Renewal in Brunswick and attended North Island Church on St. Simons Island. She had a passion for the Lord our Savior, Jesus Christ and playing her tambourine in church.
She is survived by her son, Gary S. McMillan; granddaughter, Ashley McMillan; grandson, Brandon McMillan; and a special friend and caregiver, Barbara Bowles.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons with a graveside respect to follow the services at Evergreen Cemetery.
