The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral with the Rev. Earl Parrish officiating. Born December 30, 1917, in Knoxville, Tenn. to the late John H. and Connell P. Napier, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a retired chemical engineer at Hercules after 35 years of service. Mr. Napier received a B.S. in Engineering from Oregon State. He had resided in Glynn County since 1953, was an avid reader and also enjoyed crossword puzzles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret H. Napier; a son, Richard Napier; and a brother, Jack Napier. Survivors include his son, Donald B. Napier of Brunswick, and devoted companion, Joan LaVine Sirmans ; a sister, Connell Napier of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
