Brooks Mosley

Brooks Mosley, 84, of Brunswick, GA died Thursday September 30, 2010 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 11 am. Monday October 4, 2010 at the Golden Isles Church of God with Pastor Bruce Franklin, and Pastor Bill Jones officiating, with Interment in Palmetto Cemetery to follow the service with military honors. Serving pallbearers are Sammy Cox, Harry Cox, Paul Cox, Howard Cox, Andy Cox, DeWayne Kennedy, Skyler Nettles, and Logan Nettles. Honorary Pallbearers are Roy Curry, Willie Walker, Former employees of Georgia Pacific Sterling Plant, Dr. Herman Levy, Dr. Antonio Moran, Dr. Thomas Runyan, and the staff of Coronary Care Unit.

Family will receive friends from 6 pm. until 8 pm. Sunday October 3, 2010 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA.

Mr. Mosley was born February 4, 1926 in St. Augustine Fl. to the late Eddie Sykes Mosley and the late Sylvester Mosley. He had been a resident of Glynn County since 1932. Mr. Mosley served in the United States Army during the WWII conflict stationed in Germany. He was also a member of the Golden Isles Church of God. Mr. Mosley lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family. He was a compassionate and loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of forty eight years Dorothy Mosley of Brunswick, GA., three sons Ben Mosley and wife MaDonna , Carroll Cox and wife Dorothy, and Eddie Cox and wife Patricia all of Brunswick, Ga. Seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
