Carole Goolsby Nunn

Carole was born on February 20, 1947, in Athens, Georgia. She graduated from Miller Senior High School for Girls. She went on to attend Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia, On September 3,1967, she married the love of her life, Don E. Nunn, at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Commerce, Georgia where her father served as pastor.

A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Carole is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don; two birth children and six adopted daughters; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hugh and Gloria Goolsby, and by her eldest son, Donald E Nunn Jr.

Carole enjoyed needlework and was especially gifted in knitting, crochet, and embroidery. She found joy in creating beautiful pieces by hand and in sharing her talents with others.

A memorial service to celebrate Carole's life will be held at Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick, Georgia, on Friday, July 18, 2025, with a visitation at 1:15 pm, and Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, steady faith, and the warmth she gave so freely to those around her.
