

Mr. Strickland was born February 7, 1936 in Brunswick to the late Connie J. and Kathleen Strickland. He is a high school graduate of Glynn Academy and attended business school. Carroll was a member of the Masonic Lodge: 214 and proudly served in the United States Army for 17 years.
Mr. C. E. Strickland leaves behind his son: Greg E. Strickland (Vonda) of White Oak; granddaughter: Dana Lynn Strickland Shead (Kris) of Kingsland; two great grandchildren: Kristopher Tyler Shead and Shelby Lynn Shead of Kingsland; step daughter: Geneva Susenbach (Paul) of Brunswick; step grandchildren: Jessica Black Altman (Si) and Carl Black of Brunswick, McKenzie Altman and Rilyn Altman of Brunswick; step daughter in law: Wenda O’Quinn; two step grandsons: Ricky O’Quinn and Bud O’Quinn of Waynesville; step son: Robert O’Quinn of Waynesville; adopted daughter: Shelia Kirk; his brother: Wendall Strickland of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Carol Jean Strickland and two step sons: Randall O’Quinn and Darrell Strickland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 2PM with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Palmetto Cemetery.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
