

Tom was born October 5, 1950 in Folkston, Ga. to the late Honorable Cecil Thomas Conner and the late Dorothy Grace Gowen Conner. Following his father’s passing, Tom was raised in St. Mary’s, Ga., where at 10; he met his lifelong love, Pam Crumbley. Together, Tom and Pam graduate Camden County High School and later the University Of Georgia College Of Pharmacy in 1974. Tom practiced pharmacy with precision and compassion for over 37 years, primarily with Eckerd Drugs on Altama Ave., in Brunswick. Everyone who knew Tom knew him to be a model of integrity, humility and servanthood. Tom loved people and treated everyone as family. “A good name is to be more desired than great wealth” Proverbs 22:1.
Tom leaves his adoring wife: Pamela Esther Crumbley Conner and daughters: Pamela Kimberly Conner and Jennifer Kelly Conner. Tom also leaves his mother in law: Esther Crumbley; 2 brothers in law: Chandler Crumbley and William (Kimi) Crumbley; his nephews: Randy (Lora) Prescott, Rusty (Kim) Prescott, Jordan (Misti) Crumbley, and Justin (Casie) Crumbley; his nieces: Shannon Thompson, Jennie (Jason) Raby and Jamie Crumbley; several great nieces and nephews whom he lifted in prayer nightly. His family feels honored to have shared his home and basked in Tom’s boundless, vitality and joy. They wait expectantly for the Father’s call to join him.
Tom was a member of Golden Isles Baptist Church. He loved Jesus and walked with his savior daily, usually carrying the word on his person, in his pockets, wallet, work materials and in his truck. The love of Jesus shone through Tom’s eyes and was expressed in his gentle and generous nature.
Tom’s celebration of life service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Sammy Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, GA at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers include: Chandler Crumbley, William Crumbley, Rusty Prescott, Dale Cardwell, Burt Greene and Mike Shepherd. Honorary Pallbearers include: Randy Prescott, James King, Alan Cody, Omer Higginbotham, Jr., Jordan Crumbley and Justin Crumbley.
Tom’s family would like to express their profound gratitude to Sterling EMT, the doctors and nurses of the ER and CCU, and the community for the upwelling of prayer on which Tom rode home.
