Cecil was born in Wayne County Georgia the 11th of July 1944 to the late Lester O’Neal and the late Roselee Wilder O’Neal. He had been a resident of Gardi, Georgia for eighteen years before moving to Screven, Georgia. Cecil was a member of the Jesup Church of God of Prophecy and a retired truck driver. He leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Cecil’s parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Jessie O’Neal and Ernest O’Neal, sister Joyce Strickland.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife Nellie Ruth O’Neal: three sisters Lois O’Neal, Evelyn Campbell, and Margie Blackmon; a brother Tommy O’Neal and wife Joan, and other family members.
A visitation will occur 10 AM – 11 AM, Sunday the 20th of March 2022 at the Jesup Church of God of Prophecy, 937 U. S. 301 Jesup, Georgia 31546, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend Gary Rawls officiating.
Serving pallbearers are Jimmy McQuaig, Lyle Ryals, Chad Bailey, Michael O’Neal, Kody O’Neal, and Tommy O’Neal.
A visitation will also occur 10 AM – 11 AM Wednesday the 23rd of March 2022 at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188 followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11 AM. Burial will follow the service at Cherokee Memorial Park, 120 Memorial Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114
