

Charlene Rozier Williams, age 54, of Townsend, died Friday, November 28, 2014. Charlene was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County. Her hobbies included drawing and sewing and she especially enjoyed making dolls and rabbits. She was a member of the Darien Church of God and taught Sunday school for more than 30 years. Charlene loved her church and thought of the other members as family. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.B. and Leona Rozier and a sister, Ruby Conley.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Lonnie Ray Williams, Sr. of Townsend; three children, Suzanna Christy (Steve) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Lonnie R. Williams, Jr. of Townsend and Heather Ramirez (Raul) of Chattanooga, TN; three sisters, Sue Nell Ryals (Carlis) of Townsend, Wanda Waggoner of Brunswick and Johnette Williams of Shellman Bluff, and six grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Karoline and Annabelle Christy and Alexis, Brayden and Cailey Ramirez.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am at the Darien Church of God with Reverend Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Plum Orchard Cemetery.
