Charlene Harper Younce

Born September 1, 1947 in Jesup, Georgia to the late Charles Norwood and Thelma Onita M. Strickland, she was a graduate of Wayne County High School and graduated from Brunswick College and Armstrong College. She was a RN BSN at SGHS Brunswick Campus for 45 years. Mrs. Younce enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with family. She had lived most of her life in Glynn County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, William Harper, and her second husband of 8 years, Tommy Younce, a daughter, Tammy Charlene Harper, and a sister Norma Strickland Sanders.

Survivors include her son, Warren Alan Harper of Brunswick, two step-children, Lynn Rhymes and husband Tony, and Brian Younce and wife Laura all of Brunswick, four step- grandchildren, Cody Rhymes and wife Taylor, Zachary Younce, Bryce Younce, and Parker Younce, a step-great grandson, Silas Rhymes, a sister Barbara Jones of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of The Golden Isles or The Human Society of Coastal Georgia. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
