Charles Eugene Breland

Mr. Breland was born on November 8, 1935 and was a native and lifelong resident of Brunswick and attended Glynn Academy. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard in Brunswick.

Mr. Breland was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Brunswick.

Charles was preceded in death by his parent, Joseph and Lillian Youmans Breland, brothers, Hugh “Buddy” Breland, John Breland and Clyde Breland.

Survivors are his wife, Joy Breland of Brunswick, children, Charla Taylor (Joe) and David “D.J." Breland both of Brunswick and Connie Cheek (Tommy) of Darien, Ga., grandchildren, Kim, Joshua, Amanda, Joy, John and Johnny, great grandchildren, Abigail, Madison, Hunter, Georgia, Jasper, three sisters, Ann Self, Althea Brooker, Sandra Jarman and a sister-in-law, Darcile Breland and several nieces and nephew.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Monday 1/12/15 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Stinson officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Hanison, Keith Glisson, Shawn Bailey, Dennis Gailey, Jami Marrow and Tommy Clark.

The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 to 8 Pm and request donations be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the American Lung Association.
