Charlie L. Johnson, Jr., 74, of Brunswick, departed this life Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at SGHS Glynn. A memorial service will be held at The Chapel, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Noon with his son, Chaplain (Captain) Eric Johnson, officiating.
Born February 17, 1942 in Bath, South Carolina to the late Charlie L. Johnson, Sr., and Ethel W. Johnson, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1960. Mr. Johnson Served in the US Air Force and was also an Air Traffic Controller. He retired from Brunswick-Glynn County JWSC. He enjoyed board games, playing pool, and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia P. Johnson, and two sisters, Janice and Loretha.
Survivors include his children, Gina, Larry, Matt, Eric, Charlie, Nicole, Adam, and David, 30 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and three sisters, Shirley, Novice, and Geraldine.
The family will receive friends at The Chapel Monday morning from 11 PM to Noon.
