Claudia Ludlum Mckenna

Mrs. McKenna was a native of Brooklyn, New York, but had resided in Saint Simons Island for the past twenty five years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Louise Ludlum. She was the wife of the late Robert Charles McKenna. She was also a proud homemaker and loved caring for the needs of her family. Mrs. McKenna was a past president of the Bridgeport Connecticut Art League and a member of the Golden Isles Woodcarvers. In addition, she was a longtime volunteer at Saint Vincent de Paul Society in Brunswick, Georgia and Fort Federica in Saint Simons Island, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 5-7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2016 at Saint William Catholic Church in Saint Simons Island, Georgia with Pastor MSGR. John Kenneally officiating. The interment will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Mrs. McKenna was preceded in death by her mother and father, Louise and Joseph Francis Ludlum; her loving husband, Robert Charles McKenna; a grandson, Keith J. McKenna. She is survived by her children, Robert T. McKenna, Claudia J. Laterza, Christine F. Sharak, William D. Mckenna. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great- grandchildren, and two great great- grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Mckenna was an avid golfer, bowler, and gardnerer. She was a passionate artist and cook. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. However, her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.
