

Constance Rabon, 84, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 84. She was born in Thomaston, Georgia, on the 24th of December 1932 to the late Jeb John Brown and the late Lillian Allane Singletary. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School and had been a resident of Camden County for 56 years and resided the past 3 years in St. Simons Island. Mrs. Rabon was a substitute teacher for many years with the Camden County School System and she was also employed as store manager at Knotts 5 & 10 and Ice House Grocers in Kingsland, Georgia.
Those who knew and loved Constance will remember her for her avid passion for reading, arts and crafts and preparing meals and spending time with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Rabon, son Dr. David Rabon, two daughters Elizabeth Holts, and Susan McSweeney, and a grandson Joshua McSweeney. She is survived by four grandchildren Miranda McSweeney Kaufman (James), Cierra (Max) Patton, Lucas Rabon all of Woodbine, GA, and Jacob Holts ( Sara Schoot ) of Brunswick GA; aunt Candace Rabon of Woodbine, GA; seven great-grandchildren Jackson McSweeney of Americus GA, Madison McSweeney of Brunswick GA, Caleb McSweeney of Kingsland GA, Ava Hurley of Woodbine GA, Charlei Belloise of St. Mary’s GA, Sage Hurley of Woodbine GA, and Mariana Belloise of St. Mary’s GA; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 9th of May 2017, in the Brunswick – McIntosh Room at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home 3321 Glynn Ave., in Brunswick.
A graveside service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon Wednesday the 10th of May 2017 at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga., where Reverend Carl Hartman will officiate. Burial will follow the service.
