

Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Curt attended the University of Tennessee for two years before choosing to serve his country. He enlisted in the US Air Force where he proudly served for four years. After his military service, Curt built a career in the audiovisual industry.
Curt was a man of many interests and passions. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, found joy and competition in playing tennis, and was known for his love of the outdoors. Beyond his hobbies, he was deeply engaged in his community and was an active member of the Glynn County GOP, where he handled their audio visual needs and formed many lasting friendships. Curt also worked for the Glynn County Board of Elections as a Poll Manager on Blythe Island.
Curt will be remembered for his service, adventurous spirit, and his commitment to both his community and country.
His father, Barnie Wayne Piper, preceded him in death.
Curt is survived by his mother, Joyce Braxton Piper of Brunswick; sister Cathy Piper Powers (William Kemp) of St. Simons Island and seven cousins, Lori Long (Randy) of Nashville, TN, Keith Lampkin (Susie) of Huntsville, AL, Diane Wilder of Vicksburg, MS, Paul Braxton of Fayetteville, GA, Adam Braxton (Kim) of Atlanta, GA, Terry Braxton (Leigh) of Marietta, GA , Mike Braxton of Anniston, AL., Bill Self, Birmingham, AL, Jim Self and Bob Self, Texas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral home Chapel. Immediately following the service, the Glynn County GOP will host a luncheon at the American Legion on St. Simons Island. All are welcome to attend.
