C.W. "Buddy" Ternest

C.W. “Buddy” Ternest, Jr., age 60, of Waynesville, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Buddy was born August 10, 1954 in Waycross to the late C.W. Ternest, Sr. and Sarah Taylor Ternest. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Carlton Company then worked as a service manager for Yancey Brothers. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering on small engines. He will be remembered as a family man that loved and adored his wife, children and spoiled grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Henderson and Doris Waters, and his brothers, Tom Ternest and David Ternest.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane Lewis Ternest and his children, Melissa (Danny) Harden, Brian (Aundrea) Ternest and Cindy (Nick) Cowman.

Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Bible Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Landrum and Donald Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Mutt Waters, Jeff Waters, Tommy Waters, Wayne Henderson, David Henderson and Preston Gibson.
