

David William Goad, 88, of Brunswick Georgia passed away early Monday March 28, 2011 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 4, 2011, in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John Rodgers and Rev. Darrell Joiner Officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Waynesville North Carolina at the Grace Episcopal Church.
Born September 22, 1922 in Capreol Ontario Canada to the late George Nelson Goad and Jean Lange Goad. He was a Resident of Brunswick for the past five years. He graduated from Montreal West High School, attended McGill University for Pre Med, and graduated from Northwestern University with a Master in Psychology. He worked as an executive for Sears, and he was vice president of Regal Apparel in Los Angeles, California and then he and Mrs. Goad Owned a hotel in Morro Bay California. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Mr. Goad was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jean Dingle and two brothers George Goad and Fred Goad
Survivors include his wife Carole Mary Goad of Brunswick Georgia, son Daniel Goad and fiancée Peggy of St. Simons Island, daughter Susan Ann Greenelsh of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Granddaughter Emily Ann Greenelsh of Waynesville, North Carolina, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church or residents’ fund of St. Mark’s Towers at 900 Gloucester Street, Brunswick, Georgia 31520.
