

Donald was a lifelong resident of Brunswick, Georgia. He was the son of the late Wesley Arnold and Fannie Lou Flynt. He graduated with the class of 1950 from Glynn Academy. Following his graduation, he entered the United States Navy and served his country with honor for four years. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a Distribution Clerk. He was also a member of Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 5-8:00 PM. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Christian Renewal Church with Reverend Bill Ligon officiating. The interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving during the service will be Tony Turner, Jack Powell, Allen Copeland, Michael Vinson, Brandon Bennett, and Christopher Rowland.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother and father, Fannie Lou and Wesley Arnold Flynt; a sister, Geraldine “Jerry” Rowland; one brother, Wesley Flynt; a niece, Donna Jean Piper. He is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle “Nikki” Flynt; a grandson, Dagan Drake; Two nieces, Peggy Roberts and Brenda Crum; three nephews, Christopher Rowland, David Flynt, and Stevie Flynt. Three great nieces also survive, Rebecca Morris, Donna Vinson, and Rhonda Vinson.
Donald was a member of the American Legion and a proud United States Navy Veteran. He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed gardening. His grandson Dagan was the joy of his heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. However, his family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
