She and Frank traveled in 1947 after the war to work on a ranch in Arizona, and then to Wrayswood, GA where they operated the largest sheep farm in GA with Frank’s brother, Richard Curtis. They then moved to Atlanta to raise their five children.
Upon retirement Frank and Dottie Curtis enjoyed boating in the Caribbean and as far west as Guatemala during which time Dottie became an expert navigator. She and Frank moved to Marshe's Edge of St Simons, GA in 2010.
Dottie will be deeply missed by her five children; Jim Curtis, Bob Curtis, Carol Meares (Don), Chuck Curtis (Sandy), and Peggy Curtis. Also, left to cherish her memories are her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Dottie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her smiling face and warm heart. Fair winds and calm seas to Mom as she navigates her way to Pop in the hereafter.
