E.C. "Carol" Prescott

E.C. Prescott "Carol", 80, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Southeast Georgia Health System. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 2PM with Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Burial will follow at Palmetto Cemetery with military honors. Serving pallbearers will be David Carswell, Daniel Castor, Don Clark, Joey Devlin, Sonny Thompson, and Casey Daniels. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dr. Wade Strickland and staff, Dr. David Krantz and staff, Intrepid Home Health Care and Glynn Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 27, 2012 from 6-8PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Carol was born on November 22, 1931 in Baxley, Georgia to the late John (Mose) and Verdie Prescott. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and Nascar fan. Carol was a beloved husband, a loving father and grandfather.

Carol is survived by two children: Karen “Kay” (Charles) Mimbs of Brunswick and Ernest Prescott of Brunswick; two grandchildren: Specialist C.J. Mimbs of New York and Grayson Prescott of Tennessee; a sister: Joan Johnson of Griffin, GA; two brothers: Terry Prescott of Jacksonville, FL and Larry Prescott of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by his parents: John (Mose) and Verdie Prescott; a sister: Katherine Elk and five brothers: David, Sonny Harry, Jack and Leroy Prescott.
