A devout Christian, Eddie was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church in Darien. His faith was the cornerstone of his life and guided the way he loved and treated others.
Eddie found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and hunting, especially dove and quail, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, often taking peaceful walks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Bessie Garland Richardson, his beloved wife, Betty Catherine Lynn Richardson, and six siblings, Jeanette, S.C., Jewel, Gwen, Jimmy, and Ray.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving family, including his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Victoria Richardson; three step-children, Rhonda and Bill Kirschner, Jeremy and Stephanie Largent, and Randy Spikes; and was “Papa” to four grandchildren, Cody Kirschner, Lindsay Pearce, Erica Torras, and Heidi Arnold.
