Edward Lewis "Eddie" Carter Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Brown officiating. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors.

Pallbearers for the funeral service will be Will Woodcock, Tom Wood, Eric Hunsberger, John Aldhous-Evans, and Bill Warren.

Mr. Carter was a native of Miami Fl., born July 21, 1955, and had been a resident of Darien for the last several years. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp retiring as a Master Sargent. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on cars and driving semi- trucks and was of the Christian faith. He leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.

Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his father Pierre Rush Carter and step – mother Opal Carter.

Survivors include his wife Sonya Carter; his children Kelly Carter (Will Woodcock), Edward Carter, Jr., Lindsey Carter, and Billy Warren; his step children Jasmine Garner, and Joshua Bulluck; a special son Eric Hunsberger; a granddaughter the daughter of Kelly Carter, Kirsten Roberts; brother Pierre “ Pete” Carter; and two sisters Mary Keen, and Liz Moore.
