Frankie Stephens May, 89, of Brunswick, departed this life Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday, January 19, 2025 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverends Bobby Tatum and Richard Baker officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Park Cemetery.
Born September 21, 1935 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Frank Tyre and Eula Mae Stephens, she was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1953. Mrs. May was secretary at Golden Isles Church of God, and taught Sunday School for 35 years at both Golden Isles Church of God and Norwich Street Church of God. She was a member of New Life Sanctuary. Mrs. May was an avid reader, enjoyed church work, crochet, cooking and spending time with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Grey May, and a brother Jerry Stephens.
Survivors include three children, Jeff May and wife Jackie, Christopher May and wife Christy, and Cindy Driggers and husband Terry all of Brunswick, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sisters, Janice Lovin(Joe-deceased) and Lilly Geiger and husband Wilbur all of McDonough, GA, a brother Col. Waymon Stephens and wife Faye of Albuquerque, NM, a sister in law Donna Stephens(Jerry-deceased)of Vidalia, and many nieces and nephews.
