

Mr. Watson was born in Oxnard California on November 2, 1944 and grew up in Warwick, Ga. He had been a resident of St. Simons Island for the past 23 years. Mr. Watson graduated from Crisp Co., High School, Georgia Southwestern College and St. Leo College receiving a degree in Business and Psychology.
Mr. Watson retired from the U.S. Army as a Major. He was a local Businessman which included Kings Bay mini- Storage and Henderson’s V Twin.
Mr. Watson was a member of the Rotary Club of Camden County and the local #11683, Checkers Union. He was a member of the St. Simons Community Church.
Mr. Watson loved hunting, fishing, reading and Walking on the St. Simons Beach. He was a motorcycle enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erma Odom and Morgan Neri Watson.
Survivors are his wife, Desiree Elizabeth Watson of St. Simons, a son, Jeffery Scott Watson (Tanya0 of Virginia Beach, VA., two sisters, Janan Clark (Andy) of Oshaloosa, Ga., and Gloria Koch (Richard) of Macon, Ga., two brothers, Donald Watson (Sarah) of Warwick, Ga., and John Watson (Cora) of Smyrna, Ga., his mother-in-law, Lucille Platt of St. Simons Island, three grandchildren, Karling, Scotty and Karagan and seven nieces and nephews, and many, many close friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 3 O’Clock Wednesday 6/22/11 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. David Yarbrough officiating.
The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga., 31520. The family will receive friends after the services at the Funeral Home.
