Grace Bailey Self

Grace Bailey Self of Brunswick, GA passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Savannah, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ritchie Self officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Park Cemetery with Michael Treat, Michael Gressel, Sheldon Nichols, Toby Self, Steve Self and David Ring serving as pallbearers.

Grace was born in Glenwood, GA to Lester Leon and Editha Sumner Bailey. She is a lifelong resident of Brunswick, where she worked as an office manager at Robert M. Bentin Dental Office. Grace was a member of Bible Baptist Church where she helped with the nursery for many years. She had a love for reading and gardening. She enjoyed walking through her community and loved playing video games. Grace loved her family and friends with all of her heart.

She is survived by her loving husband: Wendell G. Self of Brunswick; one daughter: Seliest Harvey (Pat) of Brunswick; two grandsons: Patrick and William Harvey; two brothers: Jack and Roy Bailey of Brunswick; four sisters: Lucielle Fields, Ellen Fields Whitehead, Nell Cooper and Kay Gordon; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
