

Hank Hughes passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Southeast Georgia Health System. He was born in Bedford, Indiana in 1926 on August 12. Hank was self-employed in TV and Electronics and worked for several years. He worked five years for Sears Roebuck, and was the T&I Instructor at Brunswick High for 10 years and retired from the military. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ocean Lodge 214 F and AM, and past master of all Masonic Bodies and District.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Margie Layfield Hughes and his granddaughter: Angie Johnson, both of Brunswick; his mother and father: Bertha Hughes Crabtree and Henry H. Hughes, Sr.; and three sisters: Ruth Kechum, Rava Reel and Vialoa Burr, all of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years: Anne R. Hughes of Brunswick; three daughters: Dianne (Glenn) Drawdy of St. Marys, GA; Patty (James) Bollinger and Peggy (Tommy) Lacey of Tallahassee, Florida; two sons: Henry (Nancy) Hughes of Ashland Tennessee and Phil H. (Denise) Hughes of Brunswick. Hank is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. He will surely be missed by them all.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 6-8PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 11 AM on Monday, March 24, 2014 with Rev. Jim Crandall officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Park Cemetery. Serving pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers include the members of Ocean Lodge 214.
