Hariot Scott

Hariot Scott, 78, of Brunswick, formerly of Orlando and Arizona, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at SGHS in Brunswick. Memorial services will be held 11AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John Clanton officiating.

Born November 27, 1934 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Hugh J. Finn, Sr. and Dora F. Finn, she was a Nurse Anesthetist having worked in many Florida and Georgia hospitals. Mrs. Scott was a former resident of Orlando and had been a resident of Glynn County for the past three years. She was Presbyterian in faith and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed making crafts and woodworking. Mrs. Scott truly enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, being around the water and dining with her many friends and family. She was always surrounded by Boston Terriers and all creatures great and small. Her family said she was a very generous person and helped change many people’s lives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Scott, III.

Survivors include six daughters, Cheryl Hodges of Shalimar, FL, Tammy Rowe and husband Michael of Orlando, Joyce Anderson and husband Tim of Deland, FL, Robin Trautman and husband Neal of Longbeach, MS, Laurie Scott of Macon, GA, and Lynn Spivey and husband Mike of Ocala, FL, a son, Bobby Hodges of Brunswick, eight grandchildren, Christina McIntyre, John Day, Abby Anderson, Robert Laughlin, Jordan Marr, Sara Rowe, Alex Rowe, and Roberta Marr, four great grandchildren, Luke McIntyre, Anna Faith McIntyre, Soyala Day, and Madison Grace Anderson, a brother, Jimmy Finn of Brunswick, a sister Dutchie West of Pierson, a uncle Bobby Finn and wife Gloria, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, and caregiver John Lindsay.
