Harold Loveard Cottingham

Harrell “Harold” Loveard Cottingham , 84, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday July 21, 2018 at his residence. Harold had been a resident of Glynn County most of his life. He was born in Waycross, GA, August 15, 1933 to the late William H. Cottingham, and the late Dora Lee Peagler.

Harold retired from Georgia Pacific after thirty two years of service. He attended the Buckingham Place Church of God, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korea conflict.

In addition to Harold’s parents he is preceded by a step-son Marty Gilbert Bagley, and a brother Bill Cottingham.

Survivors include his loving wife Jimmie Jent Cottingham of Brunswick, GA; son Keith Cottingham of Brunswick, GA; four daughters Jenny Lee Scott of Willacoochie, GA, June Cottingham,Vicky Copeland and Tonya Prescott all of Brunswick, GA; two step-daughters Cindy Marie Holland, and Terry Lynn Taylor both of Brunswick, GA ;a step-son Ronald “Skeeter” Anthony Bagley of Brunswick, GA; sister Dora Lee Steur Bryan City N.C.: eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave. in Brunswick, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, where the Reverend Bobby Moore is to officiate. Interment will follow the service at Chapel Park Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Air Force.

Serving active pallbearers are Ronald Anthony Bagley , James Owens , A.J. Bagley , Tony Holland , Michael Holland , Eric Huff, Keith Cottiingham. Honorary pallbearers are David Hope, Billy Gray, Dr. Mark Watkins, Dr. Scott Clay, Jeff Chapman, Dr. Fussell, Dr. Sharpie and Billy Reddick.
