

Harold W. Farrey, 84, of Brunswick, formerly of Jekyll Island, died Tuesday September 21, 2010 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Memorial services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Jekyll Presbyterian Community Church with Rev. Grady Allison officiating.
Born February 26, 1926 in Leadmine, Wisconsin to the late Benjamin and Mary Esther Lindsay Farrey, he was a retired automotive engineer for Chrysler Corporation and was a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Farrey was a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from Iowa State University receiving a Bachelors Degree in engineering. Mr. Farrey was a member of Jekyll Island Community Presbyterian Church. In earlier years he was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Jekyll Island Lions Club. Mr. Farrey had been a resident of Jekyll Island for the past 21 years and recently moved to Brunswick.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Yvonne T. Farrey of Brunswick, a daughter, Carol Jocobson Musil and husband Jerry of Hartford, TN, two sons, Brian Farrey and wife Brenda of Rinard, IL, Alan Farrey and wife Loretta of New Berlin, Wisconsin, a brother, Loren Farrey and wife Arlene ofMineral Point, Wisconsin, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
