Jack was born in Brunswick on October 9, 1964 and was a graduate of Glynn Academy. He was employed with Coastal Hardware. He was an outdoorsman who loved vacationing in the mountains with his family. He enjoyed camping in state parks, fishing a nice stream, and barbequing. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan.
Jack is preceded in death by his father Jack Marvin Layton Sr and step-son Dalton Alexander King.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years Julie Ann King Layton; his son Jack Andrew Layton; his three daughters Amanda Layton Brand, Amy Layton and Anna Layton Gyulai; ten grandchildren; his mother Dorothy Ann Layton; and his brother Greg (Nancy) Layton.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at Bay Harbour Church of God with Dr. John Harris officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
