Jacob Andrew Carter

Jacob Andrew Carter, 31, of Brunswick, departed from this life Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Golden Isles Church of God with Reverend Jamie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery, with Craig Grabova, Joel Rogers, Mark Johns, Brent Yoder, Randal Stark, and Michael Fleming serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Strickland, Noah Norton, Gabriel Jackson, Clay Hoffman, Ken Rosanski, and Terry White.

Born August 25, 1992, in Brunswick to Joe Martin and Lori Crooms Carter, he graduated from Brunswick High School Class of 2015. Mr. Carter was a member of Remnant Church. He loved his family and being an uncle and brother. Jacob was the ultimate car guy and movie aficionado, with “Smokey and The Bandit” as his all-time favorite. He also enjoyed films from the 80s and 90s, such as the Back to the Future trilogy and “Knight Rider” as his favorite television series. He was almost always smiling and loved playing with his model cars, organizing his DVDs, listening to music, singing, and dancing. He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Bobby Joe Carter, maternal grandfather, William Joseph Crooms, and maternal great-grandfather, William Henry Crooms.

Survivors include his parents, Joe Martin and Lori Crooms Carter of Brunswick, two sisters, Hannah (Noah) Emily Norton of Atlanta, Abigail Lillian Josephine Carter of Brunswick, a brother, William Robert Zechariah Carter of Brunswick, grandparents, Mary Emily Carter of Odum, Brenda Gayle Crooms of Brunswick, great-grandmother, Geneva Alma Crooms of Brunswick, a niece, Hazel Grace Norton, a nephew, Daniel

Wyatt Norton, several aunts and uncles, Craig (Dorene) Allen Grabova of Miami, FL, Bonnie Ann Carter of Odum, Lisa Crooms Towsley of Brunswick, Jessica (Joel) Lynn Rogers of Brunswick.
