I will never forget the day I met him. I asked him a question and it appeared that he brushed me off so I was mad. We talked about this fondly. When we really started hanging out he said “I thought you didn’t like me.” I said “I didn’t. “ and we laughed. We had gotten close in the last year and I loved hearing him laugh and tell all his fishing stories. He will be missed. 

Jacob you were one of a kind. You were always there to help us when we needed it. The park will not be the same without you.  Maybe you can teach my dad to shark fish I am sure he would love it.  Rest easy my friend. 

Jacob Key where do I begin? I only had the privilege of knowing you for the last 4 years. It may not have been as long as I would have liked but we fished countless hours together and we had a lot of great times. We fished more the last four years than most people fish in a lifetime. Whether we were fishing the beach for sharks, hanging on the pier catching black drum,or standing on a rocky sea wall chasing sheepshead we fished hard.  Jacob you made a lasting impression on everyone that met you. Tight lines brother you will be missed but never forgotten. 

I met Jacob in highschool we became friends instantly . He was an awesome person an I loved him very much. He was always there for me when I needed someone he was always there. This is just heart shattering prayers for everyone he truly will be missed. I love you Jacob. I'll never forget you. All the late night calls an morning text is what I'll miss the most. Your stories an jokes were the best. 

To Jacobs family im so sorry for yalls loss. I met Jay when i was 17 (now almost 24). He helped me when i needed a friend to talk to. He had such a big heart. He taught me alot of stuff about fishing. He was planning a trip down here to florida to go the the skyway and we were gonna fish together. He never got to do that. RIP jay we miss you. 

Angie I am so sorry for y’all’s loss! My fondest  memory of JW was when you guys would come  down to Florida to visit us ,JW and I would play all day at the beach! I was 9 years older then he but I always loved when my cousins came down from Georgia! We love y’all and sending prayers of love and peace! Tamra Gasbarro

I remember the first time I met JW 17 years ago. He and set and talk fishing for a couple of hours. He told all about saltwater fishing.  He really needs a plaque put up at the pier in his name. He we be missed for sure.
